Hi, I’m a psychotherapist — but more importantly, I’m someone who believes that understanding the mind is one of the greatest forms of kindness. My journey with psychology began in school when I first chose it as a subject in Class 11, driven by a deep curiosity about people and their inner worlds. That early spark led me to complete my graduation with Psychology as my major, laying a strong academic foundation for what would become my life’s work.
Motherhood brought a whole new layer of learning. Watching my own child grow sparked a deeper interest in child psychology — not just as theory, but as something living, real, and woven into every moment of parenting. I began applying psychological principles in my own home, and the impact was so profound, it shaped the way I saw therapy forever.
Since then, it has been a heartfelt, hands-on journey of working with people across all age groups — from young children and teens to adults and elderly individuals — including those with special needs. I offer client-centered therapy, which means every session is shaped around you — your pace, your voice, your story.
At Minds and Moods Mitra, I combine my academic grounding, life experience, and professional tools to support individuals facing anxiety, emotional regulation issues, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, or simply a need to be heard. My space is inclusive, warm, and safe — where healing happens with insight, empathy, and respect for every unique mind.
Because mental health isn’t just about fixing what’s broken — it’s about nurturing what’s beautiful within.
